Nearing two years since the release of their ninth studio album, A Moon Shaped Pool, Radiohead isn’t done touring it just yet. A month-long slew of dates was just announced, covering the central/northeast U.S. and Canada. The band will make the U.S./Canada trek after 6 dates in South America.
Pitchfork offered that Radiohead’s latest effort clearly displays them departing from the raucous cynicism that brought them into the public eye to “pursuing a more personal—and eternal—form of enlightenment.” I can’t help but agree, noting the intimate performances of Thom’s voice and keys that resonate throughout the album. “Burn The Witch,” the first single taken from A Moon Shaped Pool, boasts the perfect blend of driving string sections and 808’s to remind you who pioneered the alt-rock wave.
